VI. MEASUREMENT AND VERIFICATION (M&V)

The Residential/Hard-To-Reach/AC and HP Standard Offer Program (SOP) offers two measurement and verification (M&V) options that can be used for determining energy savings.

Deemed Savings - Most project sponsors use the Deemed Savings option. This option provides pre-determined energy savings amounts approved by PUCT for most of the common energy-efficiency measures.

Measured Savings - Under this approach, savings are based on engineering calculations. The Project Sponsor must submit measurement and verification (MandV) plan which is consistent with IPMVP.
