Headquartered in Beaumont, Entergy Texas, Inc. provides electric service to approximately 393,600 customers in Southeast Texas. The company’s service area encompasses 26 counties, extending from Newton, Orange and Jefferson counties along the Texas-Louisiana border, south to Chambers County near the Gulf of Mexico, west to Burleson County and north to Robertson and Trinity counties.

Entergy Texas employs approximately 500 people and is headed by Joe Domino, who serves as president and chief executive officer.

Entergy Texas owns and maintains the poles, wire, and infrastructure necessary to deliver electricity to our customers’ homes, businesses, and industries. Since 1998, Entergy Texas has improved reliability by more than 50 percent. Entergy Texas’ call center has an outstanding performance record, answering nearly 80 percent of calls in less than 30 seconds. As a result, Entergy Texas’ customer satisfaction ranks among the top when compared with other investor-owned utilities in the United States.

Entergy companies employ nearly 1,250 people in the state. Approximately 850 Entergy retirees live in Texas.

Our Community Impact:

In 2007, Entergy companies contributed more than $1 million in the form of 258 grants to charitable, non-profit organizations. Additionally, company employees and retirees contributed thousands of hours to non-profit groups and organizations. In 2007, Entergy Texas' economic development staff helped bring nearly 2,840 new jobs to Southeast Texas. Recognizing the importance of long-term growth, Entergy’s economic development efforts in 2007 contributed about $1.5 million (including human resource support) toward business recruiting and community development.
