Within town limits Permit Office

Exceptions:  

- The City of Beaumont does not perform inspections or issue permits to facilities owned by Lamar University

- All Railways and Railroad Signals

Commercial:   

- Construction temporary

- Construction permanent

- Rewiring, Upgrade, Repair

- Commercial Permits for a name change are good for 30 days

- Commercial Permits for construction are good for 1 year

- Tampering or inactive consumption (permit needed only if meter pan damaged)

- All turn ons

- All read and leave ons

- All installs

Residential:     

- Construction temporary

- Construction permanent

- Rewiring, Upgrade, Repair

        - Residential Permits for construction are good for 1 year

- Tampering or inactive consumption (permit needed only if meter pan damaged)
