Texas Permit Requirements

If the customer volunteers that they are a State account, then they are EXEMPT from Permit Requirements.
For permitting corrections or questions, issue PERM ticket. DO NOT call permitting offices. Only the permitting group should call the permitting offices.

If a town or city is not listed on the permit list, then that town or city does not require a permit. Determine what COUNTY they are located in and refer to that county to see if a different type of permit is required.

All EGSI-Texas Installs and Turn Ons (except signs, highway lighting, oil field sites, certain agricultural sites and temporary construction service where lot numbers are used) require 911 addresses. The 911 address must be physically posted at the location. Failure to physically post the 911 address at the location may result in delayed initial service and/or service restoration in case of an outage.
