Efficiency Standards
This program includes new construction of single family and multi-family homes that are individually metered. The homes must receive electric distribution services from Entergy Texas.

To qualify under the program, a home must meet a performance standard of 85 or lower HERS index PLUS be at least 15% more efficient than the International Residential Conservation Code (IECC) 2004.

This performance standard can be met through many combinations of insulation, efficient windows, air sealing, efficient HVAC equipment, and/or duct sealing.  All homes approved for an incentive payment must be performance rated in order to calculate the HERS Index. Prescriptive ratings, such as the EPA developed Builder Option Package (BOP) are not eligible for incentives under Entergy’s 2009 program.
