Entergy Texas, Inc. (“ETI”) is amending its Certificate of Convenience and Necessity (“CCN”) to add existing electric transmission infrastructure in Newton county.  ETI is proposing to purchase components of the existing 138 kilovolt (“kV”) double-circuit electric transmission line approximately 1.9 miles in length that currently connects the Toledo Bend substation near the Toledo Bend hydroelectric generating station to the Texas-Louisiana state line from the Sabine River Authority of Texas.

ETI is not proposing to adjust the routing, configuration, or maintenance practices of the existing double circuit transmission line.  ETI will continue to perform the operations and maintenance to ensure continued reliable operation in Southeast Texas.  No new construction will be included as part of this ownership change.

The application was filed at the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) on April 9, 2020 under Docket No. 50541.

If you have questions about the double circuit transmission line you may contact Brad Coleman, ETI’s Regulatory Transmission Coordinator, at (409) 347-5125.

The route included in this notice is subject to review and approval by the Public Utility Commission of Texas.
